....and the poor get fatter

Why is it cheaper to buy double cheese burgers off the value menu from your local fast food joint than a bushel of broccoli? Why does eating healthy cost more money? When a poor, struggling family has to choose between a full belly and health, which will they chose? Unfortunately, money talks and there is something wrong with junk food being cheaper than healthy food. Want to open your eyes more to the dark underbelly of our industrial food system? Go rent Food, Inc. http://www.foodincmovie.com/

I learned that there is ammonia in my ground beef, and that chickens destined for store shelves never see the light of day. I learned that a simple hard working farmer has no rights in our court system and that the government is on the take when it comes to big money corporations that control our food sources.
I am glad no one reads this blog because I could be sued for libel.
