Coming this Christmas will be the release of my latest book, The Responsive Universe. A good part of the premise of this new work involves the mysterious energies that surround us. I equate this energy as also a source of empowerment and soul within each of us – I call this our True Nature. True Nature is something all humans are born with. It can be described as Gods power which is something we all are in possession of. It is the intrinsic, immortal potential for reaching Enlightenment that exists within the mind of every sentient being. In Christian or Catholic terms, the soul is the best cross reference explanation. Still the concept of a soul falls short. The term “soul” has religious implications and can be taken or lost (I.E. the Devil can take your soul). It really does not matter what religion you were raised with or later found in life: True Nature transcends all religion and even this world; its energy is constant and indestructible. Imagine if you could strip away all negativity, pain and suffering. Gone would be our ego, anger and hatred. There would be no fear, jealousy or manipulation, only love and compassion. Imagine a person as innocent as a new born baby, but as wise as an old man. That is the essence of True Nature: Pure, unadulterated, wise and pulsing with positive energy.
When I describe True Nature, it can be construed that this energy comes from within. This is a bit misleading because there really is no boundary in regard to our True Nature. Further, the mind and the Universe are all interrelated with our True Nature in a complex tapestry of energy and celestial wisdom. Taking it a step further, there are elements of our environment here on Earth that hold or give off unusually high levels of energy. Maybe you have heard of Sedona’s Vortex: http://www.squidoo.com/energyvortex There are special places in nature that stimulate sensitivity thus exceeding our basic senses. There is a meta-physical quality to such enhanced energy sites. People speak of these places as being vortexes that allow one to connect to a higher level of senses and actually be moved or invigorated by the mysterious energies that surround us. These invisible energies are the basis of Quantum Physics. Quantum Physic is described as an energy field in which everything is connected. Still there are high and low levels of energy present throughout the Universe and here on Earth. We as humans are interconnected to this energy and the more mindful we are in the present, the more awareness we achieve, thus a higher level of wisdom and responsiveness is actualized. My book will discuss all these topics in greater depth.
As part of the research for my new book (The Responsive Universe), I am going to disembark on a driving adventure that will take me across the upper mid west of the United States, into the great plains, ascending the rocky mountains, through the canyons and valleys of our south west deserts and eventually to manifest destiny; the Pacific Ocean. In doing so, I am going to be mindful of my surroundings, finding time to meditate and breathe in the energies that may be present in the following geographical regions including the plains, mountains, desert, city and coast – thus hopefully discovering some new insight on which landscapes and regions hold higher levels of energy than others. A couple key sites will include “The Maroon Bells” near Aspen, CO. and Sedona, AZ. The plan is to blog my adventures during this “walk about” in the effort to preen new and insightful information for my book. I hope to discover some profound discoveries during my travels. My adventure begins July 22nd and will span two weeks.
